The Feminine urge...to connect with the wild woman within you

You’ve felt it before that puuring deep in your belly. She’s instinctive, untamed, she doesn’t need permission to feel deeply, laugh loudly, cry openly or take up space. She knows when something is nourishing her and when it’s quietly draining the life from her.

Maybe you’ve only ever caught glimpses of her. On a dance floor in your twenties when the music took over and you forgot who was watching. As a teenager trying on a new style because you wanted to explore yourself and touch your edges, on a road trip with the windows down singing at the top of your lungs. At a bush doof, your feet covered mud, your lungs filled with dust. The moments where life felt less controlled and more alive.

Then at some point you felt you needed to be more toned done, my productive, more responsible, so you tucked pieces of her away because they no longer felt welcome.

But she never leaves, she waits beneath the layers of conditioning, expectations and good girl tendencies, still purring beneath the surface waiting for you to remember that she has always been there.

I was talking with a friend recently about all the completely unhinged things I used to do, the wild, messy, absurd moments that at the time felt normal. There was a freedom in that version of me, she wasn’t worried about being too much and she wasn’t trying to get it right. 

And while I’m not that chaotic version of myself- thank you growth 💁🏼‍♀️ there are many moments when I lean into the messy, the erotic, the impulsive, the aliveness, because that’s the whole point. 

To be Wild, to be Alive.
